Tool Designer

Job Description

Plastic injection mould tool designer to form part of the UK Engineering team at our UK site. Customer liaison, DFM inclusive within the role.


Contribution to growth in the tooling / engineering side of the business and support of continuous production within the ENL group.


Standard ENL salary dayshift. Additional hours as workload / demand dictates. A flexible approach is required.

Annual Leave

33 days (25 days + bank holidays)

Wage / Salary

Dependant on skill set and experience. Negotiable during the interview process.

• Willingness to travel if required.

Skills Required

Qualifications / experience required
• Full time on-site preferable, hybrid considered.
• Engineering qualified to at least HNC level or equivalent.
• Experience of injection mould tool design.
• Single to multi cavity formats, production, prototype, family tooling scenarios.
• Feed type experience from cold sprue single point to multi point hot systems.
• CAD system capabilities – Autodesk Powershape preferable.
• 2D and 3D tool design experience and capabilities.

Qualifications / experience advantageous
• Experience of DFM and Moldflow
• Customer facing experience.
• Range of polymer knowledge – Technical to commodity
• Project management experience
• CAM skills / capabilities
• Practical manufacturing experience
• Mould tool range experience from 100kg – 5T
• Tool trial / process knowledge
